  2. Have you focused on the CONTENT and CONTEXT presented in the news item?
  3. Is there a DESCRIPTION of the negative situation in the news item?
  4. Is there a clear link to the use of the specific IT system in the news item?
  5. Is there a specific reference to the negative IMPACTS of the situation on the STAKEHOLDER/S?

Suggested Model

Paragraph one should outline the news item (add reference here)
  • Is the news item is referred to/cited (penalty of -1 if not)?
  • Have you focused on the CONTENT and CONTEXT presented in the news item?
  • Is there a DESCRIPTION of the negative situation in the news item?

Paragraph two should mention the IT system in the context of the Area of Impact
  • Is there a clear link to the use of the specific IT system in the news item?
  • Here is where you can give some of the advantages/uses of the IT system in order to fully put this into the area of impact.
  • You do not have to explain how the IT system works (this is Criterion B) but you should give a specific example of the IT system so that you can explain how the technical background of the issue in B.
  • Possibly some statistics to illustrate how widely the IT system is used in the context of the issue.

Paragraph three should have the social and ethical issue
  • Have you clearly explained the issue?
  • Is there a specific reference to the negative IMPACTS of the situation on the STAKEHOLDER/S?
  • More research may be needed here
